CMA Fest to Host 2nd Annual Tweet n’ Greet

CMA will host its second live Twitter feed on ABC.com, Wednesday, Sept. 1 (8:00 – 11:00 PM/ET), during the broadcast of “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock,” on the ABC Television Network.

Fans can log on to ABC.com to see Tweets from artists including Julianne Hough(@JulianneHough), Lady Antebellum (@ladyantebellum), Reba McEntire (@Reba), Tim McGraw (@TimMcGrawArtist), Blake Shelton (@BlakeShelton), Keith Urban (@KeithUrban), and Zac Brown Band (@ZacBrownBand).

Fans can also visit CMAfest.com to follow along with the show using their Facebook account. Each artist will be posting their observations about the three-hour concert special as well as behind-the-scenes tidbits, anecdotes about other artists’ performances, as well as memories from past CMA Music Festivals.

The “Tweet ‘N’ Greet” will create an interactive feed between the fans and artists. Fans will have a direct connection to some of their favorite performers, not only allowing them the opportunity to ask questions, but also providing them with behind-the-scenes access.

Go Behind the Scenes at CMA Music Festival

Fans can get a glimpse of all the behind the scenes action from the 2010 CMA Music Festival on ABC.com and CMAfest.com before the three-hour special “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” premieres on Wednesday, September 1st (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on ABC.

Beginning today through September 1st, ABC.com will launch over 20 online videos featuring CMA Music Festival fan favorites Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Laura Bell Bundy, Eric Church, Gloriana, Julianne Hough, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Jake Owen, Kellie Pickler, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Josh Turner, and more! The online videos will be added to the Festival’s official website, www.CMAfest.com, on Friday, August 13th.

“We went to a lot of fan club parties with artists, and we spent a great deal of time filming on their buses or even at their houses to give that exclusive feeling and intimacy,” said David Beebe ABC Director of Video Production. “We talked with a wide range of artists from the names you would expect to see and a lot of up-and-coming acts as well.”

In the video series, Bentley takes viewers into his late night fan club party; Aldean gives an exclusive look at his “huddle” with the band to get pumped up before performing at LP Field; Gloriana shows off their “bus mascot” given to them by Taylor Swift; and noted practical joker Shelton makes a special “request” of Pickler to watch his dogs and his mother while he heads out to perform. In a special video where “stars give back” to the fans, viewers get to witness Laura Bell Bundy cleaning up after fans and Gloriana on janitorial duty at the Festival!

The annual CMA Music Festival is unlike any other, with four days filled with more than one hundred hours of live music, 30 hours of autograph signings by Country Music’s biggest names and up and comers, hundreds of artists and celebrities, and a party list of thousands of avid fans.

Julianne Hough & Ryan Seacrest Have Posh Italian Vacay

It’s official, Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest are dating.  They took a posh Italian vacation and TMZ has the photos.  Apparently Ryan paid for the $50,000 business dinner and tip then swept Julianne off to a cruise on his yacht.  See more here. Country Artists Remember Michael Jackson on the Anniversary of His Death

Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum might not want to do this move on stage: the moonwalk. He says when he was a little kid, his brother and sister would make him moonwalk. He says he doesn’t “think he was good at it.” But “they just used to think it was funny.” Hillary Scott says Michael Jackson’s duet with his sister, Janet Jackson, is on a mix-tape she made in high school. Scott says she loves the song and the video. She says it was great “just to see them interacting together.”

LeAnn Rimes hears a Michael Jackson song on the radio she says she thinks how “current” it sounds. She says “there’s a timelessness in his music.” And, she says “we lost one of the most amazing artists in history” when he died a year ago today.

Laura Bell Bundy says Michael Jackson was a big influence on her “and a lot of other performers who sing and dance simultaneously, who really love to give an audience an experience, a visual experience when they hear music.” Julianne Hough was on “Dancing With the Stars” long before she left to do country music. She says as a kid, she remembers watching “some awards show and he had the white glove on.” She says after she watched him perform, she wanted to get up and dance, too.

CMA Music Fest Day 2

CMTT is having a great time covering CMA Music Fest thanks to Chevy who is sponsoring our trip this year.  Day 2 was a BLAST! and we can only imagine it’s going to get better and better!

Yesterday, our first stop downtown was the Chevy Stages at the Bridgestone Plaza to catch Katie Armiger and Brantley Gilbert perform.  It was my first time seeing either of them, and I was extremely impressed, and so did the crowd!

After hitting-up the Chevy Stage, we headed on down to our very first benefit concert.  The Country Music Food For the Soul benefit was held at The Rutledge downtown Nashville.  For $15, fans could come and see some of Nashville’s Up-and-Coming artists. Thompson Square hosted and performed along with Fast Ryde, Matt Gary, Telluride, Ash Bowers, The Harters, Carter Twins, and Mallary Hope. WOW! All I have to say is “watch-out Nashville! You’ve got some serious talent making their way to the top!”

After the concert and a bite to eat, we headed down to LP Field for the nightly concerts. Several seat upgrades were announced throughout the night courtesy of Chevy! They are making sure everyone is having an amazing time at CMA Music Fest!

Last nights line-up had the crowd on their feet! Julianne Hough, Josh Turner, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, and Kid Rock rocked the stadium til midnight. Each act had their highlights. My favorite of the night was obviously Keith Urban. The aussie crooner got a standing ovation when he performed “A Little Help From My Friends.” Sarah Buxton and Little Big Towns Karen and Kimberly sang back-up vocals to the amazing performance. Video of the recent flood played int he background. It truly was amazing.

Day 3 is just around the cover. We’ll be bringing you all the coverage courtesy of Chevy!! On the agenda is more great music from the Chevy Stage, Riverfront Park, and LP Field!

CMA Fest Riverfront Stages Line-Up Announced

The CMA Music Festival is really starting to take shape. Today, the CMA announced the Riverfront Stages Line-up for the June 10th-13th festival.

Thursday, June 10: The Judds will give the kick off performance, followed (alphabetically) by Keith Anderson, Diamond Rio, Colt Ford, Joey + Rory, Love and Theft, Neal McCoy, Jake Owen, Josh Thompson, and Clay Walker.

Friday, June 11: Rodney Atkins, The Band Perry, Bucky Covington, Eli Young Band, Jack Ingram, Patty Loveless, Craig Morgan, Sawyer Brown, Gretchen Wilson, and Chris Young.

Saturday, June 12: Big Kenny, Lee Brice, Mark Chesnutt, Emerson Drive, Gloriana, Josh Gracin, Lorrie Morgan, David Lee Murphy, Joe Nichols, and Mel Tillis.

Sunday, June 13: The Bellamy Brothers, Sammy Kershaw, Lonestar, Jo Dee Messina, James Otto, Restless Heart, Steel Magnolia, Pam Tillis, Uncle Kracker, and Darryl Worley.

Julianne Hough says Ryan Seacrest Dating Rumors are Crazy

Rumors are flying that Julianne Hough and American Idol host Ryan Seacrest are dating…Well, OK Magazine is setting the record straight. During the ACM Awards, Julianne said the two weren’t an item.

“It’s so crazy,” she tells me during the ACM Awards held in Las Vegas this week. “I keep hearing these rumors, but I don’t know. I know him from interviews. We’ve had lunch together with people – my manager, and stuff like that.”

Like sands through an hour-glass…so are the days of our lives…Get it…I crack myself up. Julianne has basically been linked to everyone under the sun since her and Chuck Wicks split…including Dane Cook and Kings of Leon frontman Jared Followill. I guess we’ll have to keep searching for the real dude who’s stolen Julianne’s heart.

The lineup for the 20th Annual City Of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge just got a little bigger.

Chuck Wicks, Craig Morgan, Julianne Hough, Love And Theft, The Oak Ridge Boys, Randy Houser, Two-Foot Fred, and Whitney Duncan will join previously announced artists Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Clint Black and Luke Bryan.

The event, hailed as the unofficial kickoff to the CMA Music Festival, will take place on Monday, June 7th at 7pm.

Does Julianne Hough Have a New “American Idol” Boyfriend? It’s a Shocker!

OMG!  I know that is cliche these days but OMG!  The internet is buzzing with rumors that Julianne Hough is secretly dating American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. 

There have been whispers all around the web that the two are dating but The Dish Rag uncovered a few more things that point to these two being a real couple.

Cowell’s ex Terri Seymour interviewed all the judges for Los Angeles FOX 11 affiliate, KTTV, and questioned Cowell about a date Seacrest had Monday night. “Um, yeah, the girl from ‘Dancing With the Stars,” shrugged Cowell, adding a coy, “Whoops,” as he looked to camera.

Cut to Seymour side-by-side with her fellow FOX 11 reporter, who presses her for the name of the mystery woman. Seymour says she “will be in so much trouble,” but then goes on to give us the hint that it’s “a certain young lady” from “DWTS” — who’s not on this season. Ah ha! Another clue.

So let the speculation begin!

I also found this article from November of 2008 where Ryan gushes all over Julianne:

There are roses and best wishes and even dreams of a “Mrs. Seacrest” the report claims. Star Magazine has this, “Julianne Hough might soon be dancing down the aisle. At least, if Ryan Seacrest has anything to do with it!”

“Ryan has a crazy crush on her,” an insider tells Star. “He always refers to her as ‘Mrs. Seacrest’” – even when she appeared on his show on Oct. 17! The magazine claims that off the air, he’s doing his best to woo his Julianne, too.

How does one do that – with flowers of course, Ryan sent her 21 pink and yellow roses after her call-in, along with a teddy bear and a note. Addressed to “Mrs. Seacrest,” of course. Is this PR or a fauxmance wish from Seacrest or could you see these two together?
