Babies, babies everywhere! People.com is reporting that Joe Don Rooney and wife Tiffany Fallon are expecting bundle of joy #2.
Joe Don tells People.com:
“We’re a little more prepared but the same excitement is there,” the Rascal Flatts guitarist says of baby No. 2. The couple are already parents to 21-month-old son Jagger. “There’s such fulfillment in being a father and it’s going to be two-fold now, which is so cool.”
“It was late January and we were out by the pool chilling and she said, ‘I have something to show you,’ and she opened her purse and pulled out the stick with the positive sign,” he says. “I was like ‘Wow! We’re going to have to stop coming to this hotel. We’ll have 16 of these things before long!’ But life just couldn’t get better.”
Joe Don says he is excited to prepare 21 month old Jagger for a new sibling but admits “he doesn’t quite understand yet, I pray with him every night and we pray for his brother- or sister-to-be.”
Joe Don says he doesn’t care what it takes to be present at the birth of baby number two in September. Although Rascal Flatts will be out on the road he is already thinking of alternative ways to get home saying; “I have to be there. I’ll rent a jet or something if I have to!”
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the couple.

Although Shaun White seems to be a big fan of rock-n-roll bands like AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses he is also open to other genres. He recently admitted to Spinner that Rascal Flatts’ ‘Unstoppable’ is one of his recent favorite songs.
Rascal Flatts are currently celebrating 10 years of making great music together. After honoring their song writers at the Musicians Hall of Fame a few short weeks ago it was just annouced today they will celebrate and thank country radio for the more than 3.5 million spins and 25 billion audience impressions accumulated over the last decade. The party will be held next week at the Nashville’s Renaissance Hotel.
“Since ‘Prayin’ For Daylight,’ country radio has been our voice to the fans for ten years now,” says Jay DeMarcus. “We would never have been able to do what we’ve done without them, it’s that simple. So, we wanted to take a moment to tell them face to face how much we appreciate their constant support of Rascal Flatts and our music; a moment to celebrate all we’ve accomplished together and toast to what lies ahead.”

Once again Twitter comes to the rescue for fans and country artists to help explain words that were spoken and taken a bit out of context.
In an interview with Country Forever Jay Demarcus of Rascal Flatts was quoted as saying,
“We spent night after night out there learning the art of entertaining a crowd. And if there’s a criticism I have of this sort of microwave, instant stardom that some of these kids are experiencing nowadays with ‘American Idol’ and things like that — it is a great forum to discover new talent that otherwise wouldn’t be discovered — however, you don’t get to put the time in learning to be an entertainer. Because when you have to starve for your craft, it’s more beloved to you when you have success.”
Seems a lot of readers took that as quite a bashing for American Idol artists. As always, Jay…being the active Twitterer of Rascal Flatts he wanted to clear the air about the statement and says he really is a fan of American Idol.
via @jaydemarcus
For those who have read my comments about American Idol, I was not “speaking out against” it! I’m a fan of the show. I was saying….
…in some cases, instant stardom may not be the best thing… This certainly does not apply across the board. I so believe the more time…
…you have to hone your craft in smaller venues, the better off you are… Period. I have a lot of friends that were a part of idol…
I continue to be a huge fan of the show… Sometimes words in print, sound twisted out of context… Whew!! Now I need a drink!!
So much for the days of sitting quietly while fans and cynics attack you for words you may or may not have said. Here ye here ye Twitter is AMAZING! And I know fans everywhere appreciate the personal interaction it provides us to our favorite musicians.
