LoCash Cowboys to Perform National Anthem Thursday Night at LP Field

LoCash Cowboys have a double header on Thursday night. Preston and Chris will first perform the National Anthem at LP Field as the Tennessee Titans take on the New Orleans Saints, and then immediately depart for their 10pm performance that same evening at the Duquoin State Fair in Duquoin, IL.

Chris is  excited saying; “To sing the Anthem in front of 70,000 football fans in Music City will be an incredible moment for us,”

Preston added, “And to be performing for a packed Duquoin State Fair audience just a few hours later where we can rock out on our full show will be a great way to cap off a most memorable day.”

New Single from the LoCash Cowboys – “Keep In Mind”

The LoCash Cowboys, artists signed with Stroudavarious Records, are keeping up the tempo by releasing their brand new single “Keep In Mind” via streaming from their website. The single was shipped to country radio and has an add date of September 20.

This single is a corroborative effort by the dynamic Jeffrey Steele of “The Cowboy In Me” and “International Harvester” fame and Shane Minor who penned “Brand New Girlfriend” and is a powerful soul-moving ballad. The content will connect with parents especially when they think of their children venturing out into the world alone chasing their dreams. It’s a reminder to the young adults how much they are loved and prayed for as they leave in pursuit of their own lives.

As always the perfect harmonies of Chris Lucas and Preston Brust with the accompaniment of their talented band will leave you with the impression of musical perfection and this is another song from the LoCash Cowboys you will want to add to your collection.

If you log onto the official website, www.locashcowboys.com you can listen to the new single right now before it is played on the radio and send in your own story for a chance to win an autographed copy of the single and receive a call personally from Chris Lucas and Preston Brust.

Jake Owen Mixes Twang and Heartbreak With New Single “Tell Me”

After releasing the bluesy “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You” and rockin’ “Eight Second Ride,” Jake Owen is showing us more of his country side with the twangy and pedal steel guitar-filled “Tell Me.” The song is the third single from his 2009 CD “Easy Does It.”

A dark, haunting tale of a man who just can’t let go of a cheating lover despite his broken heart, “Tell Me” features one of Jake’s strongest vocal performances and a nice touch of twang.

Jake says “Tell Me” is one of his favorites and calls it his “Bonanza song.”

“The intro to it really sets the mood,” he explains. “It’s got this dark, mysterious kind of sound to it. It starts out with kind of the John Wayne riding in on the open range, then you’ve got like the Bonanza thing in there.”

The song is already getting requests on country radio and has received positive feedback as Seattle radio station KMPS’s test track. You can listen to the track and vote at http://goo.gl/fb/TmVn

Jake will headline the Eagle Winter Blast in Hampton, Virginia, this Sunday with Steel Magnolia, Love and Theft, Mallary Hope, Lo Cash Cowboys and Easton Corbin. This spring with he’ll open several shows for Jason Aldean and then Sugarland, as well as at least one date with Miranda Lambert.

“Tell Me” is the third single from Jake’s second CD, “Easy Does It.” The first single, “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You,” went to #2 on the Billboard Top Country Chart. The last single, “8 Second Ride,” was a top-10 hit and spend 32 weeks on the Billboard chart.

Rockin’ It With Blackberry Smoke

The first time I heard the name Blackberry Smoke I thought “Wow – what a cool name for a band!” And the first time I logged on to hear them I thought “WOW! What a rocking band!”

They are indeed a rocking band with a huge cache of talent going on there! They are well traveled – Spain, Mexico, Germany – and all over the USA. Sitting at #3 on the CMT countdown as of this week with a “Good One Coming On”, they are moving and shaking the good ole Southern Rock world.

Signed by Bama Jam Records they’ve already released their sophomore CD under the new label with legendary producer Dan Huff (Keith Urban and Rascall Flatts) and engineer Justin Niebank. They perform at Talledega Racetrack, Alabama’s new Country Crossing and many other southern venues. The Atlanta-based band is growing into the premiere Southern Rock band of America and has performed with ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shooter Jennings, the LoCash Cowboys and Cross Canadian Ragweed.

Their new single “Good One Coming On” is just a great old country boy song about beer, Patron, Igloo coolers, ragtop Mustangs (I own one!!), parking by the lake, skinny-dipping in the moonlight and just having a grand old country time. These boys have a hard country rock look but don’t let that fool you into thinking there is no talent there – because there is rich talent in each and every band member and they know exactly what they are doing and how to make you enjoy their music.

To see more about this amazing band go to www.blackberrysmoke.com and check out their new songs – they will have you swaying to the music in a heartbeat!

The LoCash Cowboys Woo Ohio

locash_cowboys_03b

Friday the 13th was a spectacular night for Columbus Ohio, Screamin’ Willie’s Dance Club and the LoCash Cowboys!! After two opening acts LoCash took the stage at this new venue for them and wooed and wowed the Club, the owner, and every one of their dedicated fans while gaining the respect of many more. A win-win event for all, I’m pretty certain LoCash will be invited back to Screamin’ Willies and that they might have found a permanent place to rock when they travel to Columbus Ohio!

They treated us to all the fans’ favorite songs while adding some new songs – “Right Here in Front of You” and “C-O-U-N-T-R-Y” being a couple of them. The band also rocked out on the large stage located at the end of a huge mosh pit which, until LoCash took the stage, was a dance floor! The band had some awesome new choreography from the shows I’ve seen – instead of the band lining up and playing together at times, a couple of them moved up to the edge of the stage for a few minutes, then as they moved back the others moved up to the edge – it gave the performances a nice touch with the different moves. Their trusted piano, Tootsie, was in attendance as well during their “mellow set” and she has recovered from a storm during an outside festival appearance last summer quite nicely!

When I finally peeled myself away from the front stage I walked through the captive audience chatting briefly with many veteran fans in from all over Ohio and all surrounding states as well as new fans who vowed to catch every future show they possibly could.

I was there early enough to watch set up and sound check and chatted with the boys before and after the show. They came in fresh from Nashville having played the CMA after party at the Wildhorse Saloon on the previous Wednesday and there was energy to burn as they stormed the stage and captivated the audience from start to finish. They were full of news about their new songs, upcoming videos and the new website which launched LIVE during the show!

The new site hosted by Stroudavarious Records has the MP3 Player loaded with “You Got Me”, “Fresh Off the Farm”, “Right Here in Front of You”, “C-O-U-N-T-R-Y”, and “This Town Needs a Parade”. Play the songs in their entirety as long and as loud as you want! You can also purchase the new EP with a click of your computer right from the home page. There’s also a store, videos, photos — oh why not just go to www.locashcowboys.com and check it out for yourself right now because it just rocks! Boom Boom!!
