Put-In-Bay (PIB), “Party Central” of South Bass Island on Lake Erie in Ohio, often dubbed the “Key West” of southern Lake Erie, will never be the same after being rocked practically into Lake Erie by the LoCash Cowboys on Friday and Saturday, September 11th and 12th! The Beer Barrel Bar, called the world’s longest bar, hosted the band for two nights to play to the craziest and wildest crowd this fan has ever seen! The band did two sets per night and the intermission was welcomed to catch our breaths too – but before the break was entirely up we were all ready for more action from this talented duo.

Chris Lucas and Preston Brust hit the stage attacking the audience with a continuous onslaught of new and older songs all night. There was rarely ever an unclaimed space to stand in front of the stage on the dance floor as old favorites “Boom Boom” and “You Got Me” and newer songs to be included on the new CD such as “Keep in Mind” rolled forth from the band at break-neck speed and were delivered with the precision of a well-oiled machine. They brought local guest singers onstage with excellent voices and ad-libbed dance steps even The Temptations would be proud to see.

The band, consisting of Ryan Jones, Jason Duggins, Dave Parks and Erik Halbig,
were introduced with each one individually showcasing their amazing talent and their individual performances were outstanding, as they are in every show.

There were birthdays in the crowd the Cowboys helped celebrate, bachelorette and bachelor parties galore, celebrities in the audience (Jimmy Olander from Diamond Rio was one), stage divers, Mardi Gras beads and leis around necks. People in the crowd wore huge funky hats, there were Navy personnel from the USS Lake Erie in the crowd, guest singers and fans from many other states – NY, IN and MI to name a few – as well as the revelers during the close Ohio State-USC revenge game. It was just crazy wild on the Island last weekend and the LoCash Cowboys once again thrilled devoted fans and gained many new fans along the way. The Cowboys get stronger with every show they do and, when the new single and CD is released, which will be soon, the world of country music will be set on its ear – with every ear listening for the LoCash Cowboys!

PIB – RIP this winter – but look out because LoCash is sure to be rocking your shores next year and we’ll all be there rocking with!!!
