The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s All for the Hall Returns to California

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s All for the Hall fundraiser will return to Los Angeles for a second consecutive year. The event, which will take place on Thursday, September 23, at Club Nokia, will again follow a “guitar pull” format featuring performances by Country Music Hall of Fame members Emmylou Harris and Kris Kristofferson, superstar Taylor Swift, and a very special fourth chair that must remain anonymous.

“This year especially, the event will provide much needed support as Nashville works to recover from the devastating impact of a once-every-500-years flood,” said Director Kyle Young.  “While our exhibits and collections are all on upper floors and never in danger, flood waters did reach ‘five feet high and rising’ in our ground-floor Ford Theater.”

The Country Music Hall Of Fame has Reopened!

The power is back on at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. And, the doors are open to visitors .  This is much earlier than expected.  They had originally thought power might not be restored until tomorrow morning and the doors would open right then.

The Country Music Hall of Fame didn’t suffer the same kind of flooding as some other buildings in Nashville. While it affected the first floor and the floor below, it didn’t touch the exhibits which are kept on the upper floors.

Katie Armiger Helping to Raise Awareness for Alzheimer’s

Rising country artist Katie Armiger will help the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) raise awareness of and support for the care needs of families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias by performing at the “For The Love of George” event October 9th. Katie will join other country artists including Emily West, Kathy Mattea, Lani Nash, and Mindy Smith to perform at the event being held at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

“It is an honor to be able to take part in this event and help out the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America,” said Katie. “I am so glad I am able to help raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease, which is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States.”

Last month Katie released her fourth single “Gone” from her critically acclaimed second album Believe to radio and it is currently climbing the charts. Katie recently started working on her third album on Cold River Records, set for release next year. She has been working with several well-known Nashville songwriters and will have a hand in writing every track on the new album.
