Nashville’s WKRN has a great video of a die-hard Carrie Underwood fan getting a very special phone call…
“I always look forward to the excitement of CMA Music Festival,” said Underwood after the call. “Its fans like Riley that make the week so much fun.”
Riley was the first person to find out that Carrie Underwood would be performing at this years CMA Fest, and what a way to find out. Sure beats reading it on the internet.

This is such an awesome act of kindness. Carrie is not only incredibly talented, but she does so much for others; reminds me of the recent KU story about giving buying a fan the pedal. Country stars are some of the most giving people around; I wish there were more positives in the media like this.
I listened to the audio of this phone call, and hearing the pure joy and disbelief that Carrie personally called her was very touching. That’s what music should be about, and it’s one of the many reasons why I love and respect country artists so much.

That was so sweet fo Carrie. That Riley was really touched. It so nice of Carrie to personally call that super fan kid personally and tell her first that she would be at CMA Music Fest. Now I really cant wait to go. Also I watched the clip of that kid and it was funny when she said that it was her favorite news station. Haha. Congradulations kid, I’m happy for you. That is why I like Country Music so much. They make people’s dreams come true. Can’t wait for the festival
