
According to People.com, four years ago Garth Brooksdonated $500,000 to Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital in Oklahoma to finance a building named after his mother, Colleen Brooks, who passed away from cancer in 1999. However, after building a $27 million expansion, there is still no Colleen Brooks building leaving the hospital in breach of contract.
Garth’s heart is broken over this,” a source close to Brooks tells PEOPLE.
A hospital spokesman hopes for a “swift and amicable end.” However, Garth’s peeps say different.
Not likely. Brooks’s rep tells PEOPLE: “This deals with his mother, the home town and the people he grew up with and is deeply personal.”
