The Grand Ole Opry is important to me because it is a cornerstone of this city. It serves as a reminder that dreams really do come true if you give your heart to what you believe in most. So many musicians have moved to Nashville in hopes of making their dreams a reality and for them, the chance to play on the same stage where legends have stood is the realization that their dreams are within their reach. I moved to Nashville with those same hopes and in May 2012, one of my dreams will come true as I finish pharmacy school. The Opry turns ordinary people into legends….it should be special to everyone in Nashville in some way.
The Grand Ole Opry has been around for decades and is one of the most elite and recognizable icons of country music. All the greats have played there and it means so much for the up and coming artists to be given a change to play at the legendary Ryman. For me, the Opry is a place where you can go to see not only the best artists, but good old down-home country music. That is one place that won’t ever be influenced by the ever-changing music industry we live in.
The Opry is important to me for many reasons. First off, it stands for everything country music is about. The Opry is like a the cornerstone of country music, everyone knows about it, and without it country music would not be what it is today. It is also important to me because when people get inducted, they are becoming a legend of country music. I personally have never been to a performance at the Opry, and I cannot wait, until I get to go one day, but I love watching the performances on tv or online. Also the Opry is important to me because so many country artists get to perform where other legends have in the past, and they get to start following in their amazing footsteps

Grand Ole Opry is important to me because it’s the longest-lived and most popular part of American Music History! Generations of spectacular performers have come together to captured the hearts of American Country music fans for years. The Grand Old Opry has fulfilled the need of each and every devoted country music fan in the world. It’s historical, it’s classical, it full of Legends for example: Ernest Tubb and Hank Williams, Sr. and Minnie Pearl, Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline just to name a few. These people will always be remembered for all they have established in the area of Country performances. Each performer has left a piece of themselves behind to be remembered even after they have departed. Thanks to the Grand Ole Opry and the magnificent entertainers for the wonderful music that will live in out hearts forever and be enjoyed for years to come!

The Grand Ole Opry is important to me because of everything it represents. Music means everything to me and without it, I don’t know where I would be because it has gotten me through both good and bad times. I’m extremely thankful that something like the Grand Ole Opry is still around because it allows artists both new and old to reach so many people and hopefully make a difference in their lives as well. The history combined with the thrill of seeing my favorite artists grace that stage from time to time is something that I will always cherish, and it’s one of the reasons that I’m thankful every day that I was able to move to this great city.
The Grand Ole Opry is important to me because it defines country music. When I step into that building, I get chills just thinking about everyone who has performed there. And at the Ryman. I’ve lived in Tennessee my whole life and country music has been like a religion to me. I first went to the Opry 3 years ago with my mom and it was definitely a life-changing experience. It was like I had finally become a true country music fan. We saw Carrie Underwood and she made the night even better. Ever since then I’ve been to the Opry several times. I was even at the show where Carrie got asked by Randy Travis to be inducted as an Opry member. I got teary-eyed for her. It was such a big deal and I was witnessing history. The Opry is amazing because not only can you see today’s hot new artists, but you can also see the usuals like Little Jimmy Dickens and The Whites. And the new artists even sing songs to remember the legends. That’s why the Grand Ole Opry is so important to me. Because the Grand Ole Opry IS country music. It’s a place where we can remember the ones who made this genre of music so great. The only thing that could make it any better is if our boys, Rascal Flatts, got inducted next.
Hey, I’m just happy they’re making an appearance in Nashville.

The Grand Ole Opry is important to me because its the heart and soul of what I love most…country music. I’m not an emotional person but something comes over me when the red curtains go up… I feel the excitement as if I was up there on stage making my dreams come true. It would be truly awesome to be able to see my favorites Rascal Flatts preform on the Opry.
The Grand Ole Opry is important to me because it’s the dream I have had since I started playing Country Music. MY uncle has played it, my cousin has played it and his son still sings on it. It’s the place where you go and appreciate all aspects of country music. Everytime they bring it to the Ryman, i set in those pews and just think back to all the history. It’s my lifelong dream to play that stage…so when I got there to watch the Opry…..thats about as close as I get to that stage during a performance…I’ll just keep dreaming of that chance…and of course those RF tickets.
