Jason Aldean’s Wide Open has been certified platinum!! Jason marks the ONLY country artist in 2009 to have an album be certified platinum the same year it’s released. Wide Open was released 9 months ago.
Getting my first platinum album back in 2006 was one of the proudest moments in my career so far,” said Aldean. “Put this one at the top of that list too. 2009 was a really special year for me, and I have so much to be thankful for going into the holidays!”

Love Jason, but I’m pretty sure Rascal Flatts’ Unstoppable album was certified platinum too and it came out in April.
