CMT.com has a great review/article about Gary Allan’s very first headlining show at the Ryman here in Nashville this week. The sold-out show was obviously a success, and Gary should be proud…it’s been a long rode to this place in his career.
When you play these places, you kind of mark them off in your mind,” he told the crowd. “And this is definitely a big one for me.”
Gary Allan was joined by hand-picked opening acts for his Get Off on the Pain Tour. Jack Ingram and Eli Young Bandseem to be a perfect fit for Gary and his band; get the crowd sufficiently pumped-up. However, the Ryman show had another addition to the line-up. Gary’s 16 year-old daughter, Dallas, joined Gary on the keyboard during “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.”
Sharing a hug, Allan said, “She has impeccable taste in music.” He looked as though he was about to become teary-eyed. It was a moving moment.
The article is FANTASTIC and it’s good to see Gary getting the recognition he’s worked so hard for. Click here to read the more.
