Yesterday, Brooks & Dunn passed the torch to Taylor Swift backstange, presenting the 19 year old with the International Artist Achievement Award. The award is given to an artist who raises awareness of Country Music outside of the US.
“What Taylor has done for Country Music inside the United States is amazing in itself, but what she has done for the format internationally is outstanding,” said Tammy Genovese, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “She recognizes the importance of taking her music around the globe, and in doing so, has become a phenomenal ambassador for Country Music. She is very deserving of this Award.”
Taylor’s Fearless album has reached gold or platinum status in 14 countries.

Yay for Taylor. It should be safe to say that she has a name recognizable all over the award. She definitely deserved this award.
