One of our readers, Kim, went to see Eastin Corbin, Steel Magnolia, and Jessie James…check out her review.
Today (November 8, 2009) I had the pleasure of seeing Easton Corbin, Steel Magnolia, and Jessie James live in concert. Their performances were part of the 10th Anniversary celebration for the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes Barre, PA.
Easton Corbin came out first. He sang about 10 songs; most were his own, but there were a few covers as well. He sang his single, A Little More Country Than That, as well as some new songs that will be on his album that comes out in February. He currently has an EP available on Itunes. He was awesome! He was very appreciative of the people that came to hear him sing. He also has a great sense of humor; the Wilkes Barre Penguins hockey team mascot was there and during Easton’s set he pretended to flash Easton and then went onstage to pretend to be part of the band. Easton was a good sport about it….much better sport about than I would have been.
Steel Magnolia came out next. They too were awesome! Their voices sound sooooo good together! They sang a bunch of songs including a few they sang on Can You Duet, a few new songs, and their single, Keep On Lovin’ You. The one song that they just wrote, Eggs Over Easy is a great song! It should definitely be a single.
Jessie James was last. Her music was way too loud and the bass actually hurt (which is saying something because usually the more bass the better for me). She was great despite that though. She sang her singles:Wanted, I Look So Good Without You, and My Cowboy, as well as another one of her songs and Shania Twain’s Man I Feel Like a Woman. She had great energy and looked like she was having a blast up there on stage.
I could have stayed to meet everyone, but my feet were killing me in my new flats and I didn’t eat all day, so I decided to leave.
I would definitely encourage everyone to go see all three acts if you get a chance! They are all awesome in their own way and I can see them all becoming very successful.
Thanks for the review Kim!!!
