According to the Associated Press Carrie Underwood says she hates being called “pop-country”.
If we are talking about putting country music into different categories most would lump her into the same likes as Rascal Flatts (whom she used to call her favorite country group back in the days of American Idol) and Taylor Swift.
But Carrie says I hate saying pop-country – I hate using that,” adding she prefers to describe such music as “contemporary”.
