I really wish people would stop saying that Miley Cyrus is all grown up. Just because she is in the spot light doesn’t mean that she is anymore mature than any other 16 year old. She is ONLY 16!

PEOPLE! Just because you have parents that think it’s ok to date a 21 year old underwear model when you are 16 (I know they are not dating anymore)……and just because you have more money than most people…….and just because you appear to look older than you are DOESN’T MEAN YOU AREN’T STILL JUST 16 YEARS OLD!
Miley, slow down. Take a break and enjoy being a teenager. Take Darius Rucker’s words to heart, “It Won’t Be Like This for Long”.

Okay…here is my problem with Miley….She DOES LOOK 16!!!! That’s what is so perverse about all of this…She looks like a 16 year old sprawled out on a table as ‘jail-bait.’ Nasty!
I LOVE Miley Cyrus. I admit that I have watched Hannah Montana, seen the 3-D concert movie and the Hannah Montana movie, and I like the songs tha she writes herself. Like ‘I Miss You.’ BUT, I don’t like some of the pictures she has been taking lately. And I don’t mean the candid ones that got put out there when someone hacked her email account. Those are pictures that most 14-16 year old girls have. I mean the professional pictures like these in Elle. She is only still 16 years old. I don’t care how “mature” she sounds or acts at times. She’s still a teenage girl and needs to remember that. Laying on the table like that in the picture is not something ANY teenager should be posing like.
I think that she may be a bit more mature that other 16 years old because of her career but you are very right. She is only 16 years old. Most 16 year olds have no sense to them whatsoever and it seems that making a lot of money only makes that worse. She has no business doing layouts like this and it is horrible that her parents allow it.
Can someone please tell me how she acts mature for her age?!?! Besides the half-naked pictures….um…she acts EXACTLY like a 16 year old…immature…Smackin her gum all of the time and rolling her eyes. I’m sorry, she acts her very immature age. It’s her parents who should be watching out for their CHILD!
Not sure why she’s on the cover of a WOMEN”s magazine. It will NOT make more women buy the magazine with a kid on the cover! I guess they are hoping the tweeners will buy it and make $$ that way. I think Miley is trying to grow up faster, maybe to catch up with 19 year old Taylor Swift. Ugh.
She is a teenager. Most kids that age think they are grown up! It’s a part of how we learn to seperate from our parents. It’s natural. Those photos were set up by a pro photographer and she had a parent/gaurdian present during the shoot. She is not making these choices on her own. I say let her enjoy her youth. We only know what is put out there by the PR folks. We don’t really know Miley.
You’re right Debbi, most teens THINK they are grown-up…Unfortunately, many have parents to prevent them from making mistakes….Unlike Miley who has parents who actually approve of poor judgment….That’s what happens when the kid pays the bills.
I find this a bit disturbing. Doesn’t anyone tell her no? Seriously she is ONLY 16!!

I”m speechless! My oldest daughter had to beg for a very modest bikini when she was 16.
Where are this girl’s parents? Oh! I’m sorry! They are at the bank getting some cash………….
I agree that it seems suggestive for a 16 year old to be posed like this, especially one in the spotlight and the current Disney phenom, but most of the models in the pages of these magazines are only 16 themselves, and yet not too many people are calling them out or their parents about it. Fashion models peak in their late teens and early 20s–not too many last longer than that (save for the Giselles and Naomi Campbells of the world)!
Again, I’m not saying that she’s not a child, or the pictures aren’t innappropriate, I’m just saying that there’s an entire world where 16 year olds posing this way is relatively normal…
Miley Is Only 16. Sure some of the models are 16, but Miley is the Disney princess. If she’s taking rude inappropriate pictures a million little children are gonna do the same. They are gonna think it’s okay for people to take pictures of them and we will all have some very sexually active 6 year olds out there.
AMEN GUS! Wether she asked to be or not she is a role model for kids who watch Disney and the things that she has been doing are horrific if you ask me. NOT HER FAULT though. Mommy and Daddy need to take a long hard look at the road her daughter is taking and know that it may not have a happy ending.

o yeah almost forgot miley WILL always be looked at as a little kid as long as she stays in disney thats what brings all this drama cuz shes doing all this “grown up things” but still comes on hanna montana and most of her fans are 10 year olds and listening to her hanna montana songs. if she really wants to “grow up” get out of disney! look at hilary duff! she didnt have any problem as longas shes in disney shes still ganna be hanna not miley…
You folks shout out about this like its a murder, why ? Seen girls and women in less, men also on the beaches.
Every teen girl does stuff like that. If you look around youll see them doing worse than Miley.
